RU POV: Russian and Ukrainian advances from Day 1432 to 1433 of the War - Suriyakmaps

Feb 25, 2026 — Feb 26, 2026 War Day 1432–1433

Suriyak didn’t post any Ukraine war updates for a week and I was busy with the 2025 vehicle statistics post, so there was a larger gap than usual between map updates. Because there are a lot of pictures in the Day 1434 to 1438 update they couldn’t fit in this post, so this one will be shorter than normal.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pictures 1 to 8 are from Day 1432 to 1433 (Sunday 25 to Monday 26 January).

A reminder that these maps are confirming updates from previous days (i.e. typically 12 to 72 hours delayed from each day).

Live map can be found here, Suriyak’s twitter can be found here.

Kicking off today’s post on the northern front, following their earlier advances last week some Russian soldiers have continued to move around Starytsya, capturing part of the treelines along the local road leading to Izbytske. Russia is possibly thinking of launching a push towards Rubizhne (off map south), now that they have made further progress east of the Siverskyi Donets River.

Advance = 3.64km2

Over on the Kharkiv Border Area, Russian forces made a smaller advance south of Dvorichanske, capturing several fields and treelines. They are slowly creeping forward towards Kolodyazne but so far there have been no signs that they plan to assault the settlement.

Heading to the Kupyansk front, there have been some rather interesting developments occurring on the east side since the beginning of January that are starting to reveal themselves now. First off, on the north side, Russian assaul groups managed to push their way back into Petropavlivka, recapturing the rest of the northern streets and moving into the centre of the town. They have then pressed the attack through the locality and made further gains, however that will be covered in the next post.
Context
To the southeast, Russia’s latest push on Pishchane has managed to not only stabilise but also expand, with their forces capturing more of the treelines northwest of the village, as well as capturing the western half of the settlement and moving into the eastern houses of Kurylivka. Another group on the other side has expanded their control of the railway, isolating some Ukrainian infantry who had pushed east towards Stepova Novoselivka the other week.

It is crucial Russia recaptures Pishchane and maintains their current momentum, as it will allow them to finally crack the eastern side of the Kupyansk pocket and pressure the towns along the river. If Ukraine is able to force them back once again then this area will likely stall out for another month, with Russia having to rebuild their push from scratch.
Russian Forces Advance: 0.91 km²

Advance = 0.91km2

Moving to the Siversk front, Russian forces made a minor advance along one of the treelines south of Zakitne, whilst other squads further south and across the river near Ozerne pushed forward and expanded the greyzone.
Context
Russian Forces Advance: 2.08 km²

Middle Advance = 1.16km2, Lower Left Advance = 0.92km2

Further southwest on the bottom edge of the same front, both Russia and Ukraine made some minor advances around Minkivka, with Russia capturing some of the treelines outside Pryvillya, whilst Ukraine managed to counterattack and recapture the warehouses on the outskirts of Minkivka.
Context
Russian Forces Advance: 1.99 km²

Advance = 1.99km2

Onto the Kostyantynivka front, Russian forces managed to push into Berestok over the past week, capturing the farm buildings on the outskirts of the village and beginning to assault the central area. Russian claims of the full capture of this locality are pre-emptive, as fight is ongoing in the centre of Berestok.
Context
Russian Forces Advance: 1.65 km²

Left Bottom Left Advance = 0.27km2, Right Bottom Left Advance = 1.38km2

Heading to the Pokrovsk front, there has been more back and forth around the cities over the past week. On the north side some Russian troops moved further up the railway lines around Rodynske, trying to encircle the small Ukrainian force in Sukhetske.
Russian Forces
At the same time to the southwest, Ukraine launched yet another counterattack and amanaged to recapture several fields and treelines, moving back into one of the livestock farms north of Pokrovsk…….again.

To the southwest, Ukraine and Russia both made smaller advances outside Pokrovsk, with Russia securing one of the treelines next to Hryshyne, whilst Ukraine recaptured a few houses within the town. Fighting here is likely to drag on for another month at the minimum, as neither side is able to break the deadlock.
Russian Forces Advance: 5.08 km²

Top Left Advance = 1.53km2, Middle Left Advance = 3.55km2

Over on the Hulyaipole front, on the north side Russia captured a few fortifications north of Sviatopetrivka, whilst clearing operations continue within the village.

To the south, Russia slightly expanded the buffer around Hulyaipole, capturing a few more treelines. They have also launched another assault on Zaliznychne, however there is no information about its progress so far.

Middle Advance = 1.26km2, Lower Left Advance = 5.33km2
