Russian Forces Advance: 0.56 km²

Advance = 0.56km2

Starting today’s post in the Sumy border area, Russian troops made yet another crossing in the Hlukhiv region, taking over the farms of Bobylivka. Combined with some other movements reported a little north of here, it looks like Russia is no longer just operating in the forest along this southern portion of the international border but is also moving in on the east side.
Russian Forces Advance: 4.44 km²

Top Right Advance = 2.94km2, Bottom Left Advance = 1.50km2

Moving to the northern front, on the far northeastern side, Russian assault groups pushed into and captured the hamlet of Kruhle, as they continue to slowly work on expanding their foothold in this corner of the oblast.

To the southwest, the Ukrainian assault on Vilcha from the west side a few weeks back failed, with Russia recapturing the greyzone. This happened a little while ago but Suriyak is only reporting on it now.
Russian Forces Advance: 5.14 km²

Advance = 5.14km2

Onto the Kupyansk front, after weeks of clashes Russian assault groups had some success in linking the east side of the town with their pushes near Petropavlivka, recapturing the fish farms and a portion of the forest area, as well as part of Kucherivka. The Ukrainians were squeezed and hammered out of the village from both sides, as they were unable to get reinforcements or stable supplies in due to Russian DRG activity throughout the region south of here.

If Russia can capture the remainder of Kucherivka and this forest it will significantly improve their positions in Kupyansk, with better supply and reinforcement routes from the north (around Synkivka).
Russian Forces Advance: 4.22 km²

Advance = 4.22km2

Down on the Siversk front, Russian forces continued their advance west of Nykyforivka, securing positions in Fedorivka Druha and the surrounding treelines. Clashes are ongoing here for control of the centre of the village, with Ukraine mostly pushed back to neighbouring Dibrova.
Russian Forces Advance: 3.48 km²

Top Right Advance = 0.51km2, Bottom Advance = 2.97km2

Heading to the Chasiv Yar and Kostyantynivka fronts, on the far northeastern side, Russian troops made some minor movements around Markove, trying to get a foothold on the eastern edge. The village has been in the greyzone for some time now as neither Russia nor Ukraine has been able exert solid control or establish positions inside it.

Out southwest of Kostyantynivka, Russian assault groups secured some treelines west of Stepanivka, as they finalise the clearing operations within the village.
Russian Forces Advance: 4.07 km²

Left Advance = 2.85km2, Middle Left Advance = 1.22km2

Over on the Pokrovsk front, after months of skirmishes and back and forth clashes Russia looks to have cracked the Ukrainian defence in Hryshyne, pushing deep into the town over the past week and even getting some assault groups up to the northern edge. In addition to this other forces to the east have been trying to head deeper into the fields north of the city to secure the flanks of Hryshyne and prevent Ukraine from counterattacking back in.
Ukrainian Forces Advance: 13.71 km²

Advance = 13.71km2

Moving to the Pokrovske front, Ukraine continues its ‘counteroffensive’, with some new gains. Since the last update more of the greyzone around the Yanchur River has fallen under Ukrainian control, as their troops continue to try press south into Russia lines. This includes part of Danylivka as Ukraine tries to consolidate in the village.

To the east, Ukraine remains stuck attempting to assault Vyshneve, Kalynivske, Stepove and Berezove, with their assault groups having significant difficulty getting positions established in these settlements over the past month.
Russian Forces Advance: 1.04 km²

Advance = 1.04km2

Onto the Hulyaipole front, on the northwest side, Suriyak has shown Russia moving deeper into Rizdvyanka, with footage of an assault group operating on the south side of the town. As I mentioned last post I wouldn’t consider any of Rizdvyanka as under Russian control, but rather greyzone, as they do not control over the area west of Prydorozhnje.

I’ll also mention that Ukraine reportedly brought in even more reinforcements to this front over the past couple of weeks, so Russian progress will likely stall. I was quite surprised by this as Ukraine had already sent a significant number of units to the Hulyiapole and Pokrovske fronts for their counteroffensive, but many sources are reporting that several more units were brought over from other fronts (Dobropillya and possibly Kostyantynivka).
Russian Forces

No Advance

Out on the Zaporizhia front, Russia has once again counterattacked in Prymorske and is pushing back into the northern part of the town. The operations here over the past few months have been rather bizarre, as Ukraine originally seemed to pull their remaining infantry from the town back in mid-January, before launching a series of counterattacks to try recapture that same area in mid-February. Now they are losing ground once again and are focusing on the area further east instead.
Russian Forces Advance: 7.52 km²

Upper Right Advance = 3.48km2, Bottom Right Advance = 4.04km2

Following on from picture 1, after heavy shelling more Russian groups have crossed the border into Sumy, capturing the village of Sopych (north advance), as well as the bit of fields and forest between Bobylivka and Sydorivka. Russia now controls about a 25km strip of the border in this area, although as I’ve been saying for some time they have stuck within 2km of Russian territory.

So far Ukraine has not really responded to the Russian crossings, nor have they fallen for the bait and launched counterattacks that would be wasteful/pointless. Still, if Ukraine does not move troops over here Russia may eventually decide to try their luck and push further in towards the villages of Ulanove, Korenok and Bachivsk.

Also both red outlines on Suriyak’s map are offset from where they should be, hence why it looks so odd.
Russian Forces Advance: 16.23 km²

Top Advance = 8.45km2, Middle Advance = 7.78km2

Over on the other section of the Sumy border area, Russian forces have also been making advances, capturing the forest strip northeast of Pokrovka and recapturing the village of Popivka. Same as with picture 10, the Russians are sticking close to their territory but may decide to push further if Ukraine does not drive them out.
Russian Forces Advance: 2.25 km²

Advance = 2.25km2

Down to the Lyman front, over another week of clashes Russia reportedly gained some ground in Yarova, securing the centre of the village. Their control is currently quite fragile due to a lack of troops present in the town and Ukrainian counterattacks from the west and southeast, but they are trying to expand the buffer so they can consolidate.

A little to the west, other Russian groups are assaulting Sosnove, expanding the greyzone in the village but not being able to establish a foothold.
Russian Forces Advance: 12.37 km²

Upper Left Advance = 1.82km2, Bottom Advance = 10.55km2

Back to the Siversk front, on the northwest side, Russia cleared out the small pocket of hills east of Hryva Luka as well as some of the forest on the opposite side of the Siverskyi Donets River.

To the south, the large area of greyzone south of Riznykivka is gradually falling under Russian control as Ukrainian troops are forced back towards the defences around Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kalenyky.
Context

No Advance

Following on from picture 4, Russian assault groups continue to press on across the front, moving deeper into Fedorivka Druha and Pryvillya, whilst some DRGs probe around Rai-Oleksandrivka.
Russian Forces Advance: 6.84 km²

Top Right Advance = 0.66km2, Middle Advance = 1.54km2, Bottom Left Advance = 4.12km2, Bottom Middle Advance = 0.52km2

Following on from picture 5, on the east side of Kostyantynivka, Russia made a minor advance as their troops try to establish control over the treelines adjacent to the city.

To the southwest, after a long period of clashes and greyzone Russia has gradually been establishing control over Illinivka (below the y), now in control of most of the village. If they can secure the locality it will enable them to push deeper into Kostyantynivka from the west side.

To the southeast, Russia finally secured the village of Berestok (below the k), gaining another route into the city.

Out west, Russian assault groups finalised the clearing of Stepanivka, establishing control over the village. They are currently working on pushing north to Dovha Balka but the cover between the settlements is limited.
Russian Forces

No Advance

Over on the Dobropillya front, Russia and Ukraine have both been sending DRGs out into the fields to try establish forward positons or at least to harass the other. This is happening across the front but there hasn’t been any confirmed territorial changes.
Russian Forces Advance: 9.43 km²

Top Right Advance = 1.07km2, Upper Right Advance = 8.36km2

Following on from picture 6, over the past few days Russian assault groups pushed deeper into Hryshyne and have managed to capture the majority of the town. The remaining houses are all in the greyzone and may take a little while for Russia to clear as they are relatively close to other Ukrainian controlled villages.

At the same time as this, immediately to the east Russia has been sending out infantry groups into the fields to take control of the treelines north of Pokrovsk and west of Rodynske. They are making progress towards establishing a solid buffer around the cities, which will eventually enable them to use them as logistics hubs.

To the southwest, Russia has been sending some DRGs out towards Serhiivka, trying to establish forward positions in the town.
Russian Forces Advance: 25.20 km²

Middle Left Advance = 1.21km2,Right Advance = 23.99km2

Following on from picture 7, this one is quite messy so bear with me. Going west to east, Ukraine has been able to capture the village of Nechaivka, linking up with their DRGs operating between the Haichur and Yanchur River.

Simultaneously, Russian troops from Yehorivka counterattacked and made their way back into Danylivka, complicating the Ukrainian push south.

Moving east, Ukraine was able to take over a part of Vyshneve and the surrounding treelines but is still having difficulty capturing the settlement. There was also a video recently released of a Ukrainian attack a couple of weeks back into Novohryhorivka which was defeated. Still this means the Ukrainians have been able to make their way deeper into Russian lines so Suriyak has marked it as a DRG layer underneath.

Immediately east of this a large chunk of greyzone and part of the Ukrainian controlled territory has been retaken by Russia as they counterattacked and moved back into Verbove. The situation is incredibly fluid with a lot of mixed control, infiltrations and back and forth, hence the layering and changes between greyzone and control.

I’ll also mention that to the east clashes in Berezove and Ternove are ongoing, with no changes in control.
