As discussed previously, with Ukraine forced to withdraw from around Arkhanhelske, Russia has fully captured the village and the surrounding fields. From here, this particular assault group will likely pause for a few days to clear the area and wait for other assault groups to put pressure on Ukraine to the east and west of Arkhanhelske.

Further south, Russian forces were able to push closer Sokil, and advance towards Novopokrovkse, where the Ukrainian 47th Brigade is attempting to stall them. Novopokrovske is where Ukraine recently lost an Abrams and Bradley, just 1km from Russian positions. Russia is ramping up the pressure in this area, and is likely looking to take these 2 villages as soon as possible.

Despite claims made by various Russian sources and users, Ukraine is not abandoning its positions to pull back to the 3rd defence line (2nd was breached when Russia entered Ocheretyne), but is stalling in the fields and villages as long as possible.
