Russian advances on the Oskil river front continue for another day. East of Nevske, Russian forces managed to push forward over the stream, capturing multiple fields.

The advance in this area will likely develop almost identically to the recent advances in Stelmakhivka and Makiivka (both to the north, and both on the same river as Nevske), where Russian forces continuing advancing field by field until they reach the town, wherein they quickly capture the eastern half and Ukraine is forced to retreat to the other side of the Zherebets River.
Russian Forces Advance: 12.28 km²

Advance = 12.28km2

On the Siversk front, the most recent hot topic for both sides' sources is the Russian capture of Ivano-Darivka. Russian forces made a significant advance west of Spirne, capturing a sizeable chunk of the fields, hills and the village. Ukraine managed to hold the Spirne (right side red dot) for a long time due to the defences built in and around the village, however with Russia capturing it recently, Ukrainian forces were left with no suitable positions to hold, and were forced to retreat.

This is due to the territory here being very open, with few treelines, no proper roads, as well as being quite hilly terrain. Thus, trying to hold this open area against Russia made no tactical or strategic sense. From here, Russian forces will likely try to either advance west to Vyimka (a farm), or to the north to flank the town of Verkhnokamyanske (just off the top of the map).
Russian Forces Advance: 0.77 km²

Advance = 0.77km2

The "very surprising development" I mentioned in my comment yesterday was the reveal that Russian forces had taken Prohres without a fight in a few hours. After quickly advancing through the forest area and railway over the past 2 days, Russian forces entered the village to find that the Ukrainian 23rd Mechanised Brigade had abandoned their positions, pulling back further west.

This was all confirmed shortly after yesterday's post by a video showing Russian forward recon troops walking around the village freely, with no combat occurring. That video can be seen here: https://t .me /creamy_caprice/6109.

This development has led to many questions and wild speculation about what happened, and unfortunately I do not have any answers at this stage. There are several reasons why the 23rd Mech may have retreated, but none have been confirmed yet. For now, Russian forces will likely solidify their positions in the village, as well as capturing the fields to the south.
Russian Forces Advance: 0.66 km²

Top Advance = 0.06km2, Middle Advance = 0.05km2, Bottom Advance = 0.55km2

Clashes in the Toretsk area continue. In the north, Russian assault troops managed to capture another street in Druzhba, slowly advancing on the north side of the railway. In Pivnichne, a different Russian assault force expanded their control over the buildings in the centre of the town, as Ukraine launches counterattacks. To the south, Russian forces took over the mines near the 2014 trench line, which was to be expected, as Ukraine had pulled out of that area to defend in the towns.
